Come see the enigmatic art of Pamela Beagle-Daresta inspired by the patterns and shapes of nature, mainly the low tide seascape of southern Tybee Island, where ocean and river meet. Opening reception is January 13th from 5-7pm.
Pam Beagle-Daresta has been a practicing and teaching artist since graduating from the Ringling College of Art and Design. Her life and experiences as a teacher enrich the art she creates; her artistic practice in turn informs her pedagogical approach. Her multidisciplinary work relishes in discovery, regardless of medium. Individual pieces range from playful and delicate to weighty and complex. Pam’s current series Wanderings and Wonderings features 50 monoprints on handmade paper. She exhibits with several art groups, including the Atlanta Printmakers Studio print exchange, Ex Libres.
In addition to her own practice, Pam is a rostered teaching artist with several state governments and arts institutions, including the Georgia Council for the Arts, the Mississippi Art Commission, the South Carolina Art Commission, the Young Audiences of Atlanta, GA and St. Louis, MO, and the High Museum of Art’s I See Literacy.
Her certifications include Discipline-Based Art Education through the Getty Center, training from Talents Unlimited, and courses in art therapy and Bernstein Artful Learning.
