The Kingsport VITA program offers free tax preparation to individuals who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns, including:
People who generally earn up to $64,000
Persons with disabilities and
Limited English-speaking taxpayers

Additionally, the program offers free tax help for those 60 years of age and older, specializing in questions about pensions and retirement-related issues.

In 2024, Kingsport VITA will provide free tax preparation services between February 5th and April 11th on Monday evenings and Thursday evenings by appointment.
