Gethsemane Baptist Church

The Mission of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church is to reach countless numbers of people and lead them to Christ. In addition to meeting the ever increasing needs of our congregation, we want to share our vision with others in our community and eventually throughout the world. We are committed to building a strong base for the expanded ministry, as we become all that God intends for us to be. Essential to a firm foundation is, of course, adequate financial support. We pray for committed stewards of what God has entrusted in our hands. We will launch Capital stewardship campaigns to provide opportunities for our congregation to contribute and share in our financial and spiritual growth. The Lord is doing great work with and through us. We pray that our members will accept, meet this challenge and take an active role in what could be the most memorable experience of our lives.

Our Goals

Our goal is to provide a place of worship, a place for learning, a place for enrichment, a place for friendship and a place for service.

A Place for Worship - The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God. Giving Him our worship and receiving His blessing and inspiration. Each of these occasions is a special time of spiritual refreshment.

A Place for Learning - To us, studying the Bible is vital because it not only instructs us intellectually, but also guides us spiritually. We believe it anc accept is as Gods Word to us, a Book that is alive and relevant to life today. Learning its truths is a thrilling adventure.

A Place for Enrichment - For every person at every age level, we strive to offer a wealth of opportunities, special programs and ministries for children, adolescents and adults which fill the church calendar. In this kaleidoscope of activities there is more than one place where you can be enriched.

A Place for Friendship - Nothing quite compares to the joy of Christian friendship. That is why we make it a priority to build lasting bonds between the members of our church family - bonds of concern and genuine commitment to one another.

A Place for Service - Just as Jesus Christ came "not to be ministered unto, but to minister..." we accept our responsibility to reach out in service to others. This applies both within the church family and outside of our fellowship.
