Professional and amatuer anglers and those looking for a fun, family way to spend a week gather in July at Sisters Creek Park for the largest kingfish tournament in the world.
The annual event is a long-standing tradition for residents of the Jacksonville area. Up to one thousand boats fish the weeklong event for hundreds of thousands of dollars in prizes. Annually, the Tournament attracts approximately 30,000 spectators who watch the weigh-in and enjoy the festivities. Favorite attractions include the Food Festival; the KidZone, a free play area for kids ages 3-14; the Liars' Tent, featuring live entertainment; exhibitors and boat show; and the Boatique, offering a variety of unique merchandise. As in the past, the weeklong festivities will be capped off with a fabulous fireworks display sponsored by the City of Jacksonville.
