Public Hearings On RV Parking Ordinance Rescheduled

regarding changes to the ordinance regulating parking, locating and
storage of recreational vehicles and RV equipment have been rescheduled
for Tuesday, July 29 at 9 a.m. and Tuesday, September 16 at 5 p.m.
The first public hearing will be included as part of the Board’s regularly scheduled meeting.
The proposed changes include definitions of driveway, front yard, side
yard, rear yard and stabilized areas; permitted uses for recreational
vehicles or recreational equipment; and the maximum number and location
of RVs and equipment, as well as restrictions on the number of
consecutive days that RVs may be used to accommodate occupants.
Proposed changes to Chapter 62, Section 62-2117 were discussed at a
County Commission meeting on April 1 and approved by the Local Planning
Agency on May 19.
