Project Learning Tree Offered at South Beach Community Center

MELBOURNE BEACH, FL---Brevard County Parks and Recreation, South Area, is offering a new environmental education program, Project Learning Tree. Project Learning Tree provides environmental education and awareness while integrating visual arts, language arts, math, science, social studies, performing arts and physical education.

Project Learning Tree meets the Sunshine State Standards and is offered to all children, with special focus on the homeschooled population.  Classes are held on the third Thursday of each month, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for grades K through 2 and from 1 p.m. to  4 p.m. for grades 3 through 6. The fee is $6 per child per class or $20 per child for 4 monthly sessions.   

All programs are supervised by Brevard County Parks and Recreation staff at the South Beach Community Center, located at 500 Old Florida Trail in Melbourne Beach.
