Cooking And Canning Classes Offered
category:Schools and Libraries posted:July 17th, 2008Palm Bay, FL - Classes in cooking and canning will be offered next month through the University of Florida Brevard County Extension Service.
“Healthy Homemade Mixes” teaches participants how to prepare shake-on seasonings, bean soup, and an all-purpose mix.
This class will be held on
- Monday, August 4 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Palm Bay Extension Office;
- Wednesday, August 6 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Satellite Beach Library.
The cost to attend is $10.
“Canning” teaches how to preserve fruits and vegetables through the canning process.
The class will be held on
- Friday, August 8 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the West Melbourne Library;
- Wednesday, August 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Cocoa Extension Office;
- Thursday, August 21 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Titusville Library;
- Friday, August 22 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Satellite Beach Library.
The cost to attend is $5.
