NBA/WNBA Challenge

Palm Bay, FL - Boys and girls ages 14 and under will compete separately in a competition that will offer youngsters the chance to demonstrate their physical fitness through a time-based fitness course that includes line sprints, jump rope, speed revolutions, wall passes, and defensive shuffles. The challenge tests participants’ speed, strength, agility, and overall physical fitness.  The champion in each age and gender group has the opportunity to advance to the NBA FIT/WNBA FIT Day Regional Competition.

The NBA FIT/WNBA FIT Challenge National Finals will take place February 2010 during NBA All-Star Weekend in Dallas, Texas.    All activities will be conducted by the Palm Bay Youth Basketball Association and supervised by Brevard County Parks & Recreation staff at the Ted Whitlock Community Center.

Brevard CountyParks and Recreation and the Palm Bay Youth Basketball Association will host the 2009-10 NBA/WNBA FIT Challenge on Saturday, November 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at no cost to all competitors.

The Ted Whitlock Community Center is located at 370 Championship Circle inside Palm Bay Regional Park.
