Tarpon Tales and Sport Fishing in Early Florida examines the phenomena of sport fishing from the late 1800’s to the 1930’s on the west coast of Florida.  While sitting in a Hemingway era fighting chair, a visitor’s fantasy of the “great catch” will be enhanced by vintage photographs, mounted fish, rods, Edward vom Hofe reels, lures, tackle, gear, nets and souvenir tarpon scales. Tarpon Tales and Sport Fishing in Early Florida  continues through December 27, 2009.
