Learn about Precious Metal Clay–a putty-like mix of silver powder, water and binder whereby almost anyone can make silver jewelry in hours. PMC can be molded, textured, and layered with simple inexpensive tools to make pendants, earrings, and small sculpture. The work is fired in a kiln resulting in a unique object of 100% pure silver. We will cover PMC’s forms and properties, as well as a wide variety of techniques you can use to create your own unique works. Firings will allow students to end class with fine silver pieces. Supply list available online. Bring a sack lunch both days. Nan is a member of the PMC Guild. Min. 6, max. 8.
