Auburn Police Department

The Mission of the Auburn Police Department, empowered by the community and courteous service to all citizens and to all visitors of the community in their homes and places of business ensuring them of all environment in which they can enjoy a high quality of life characterized by both physical safety and personal freedom.

The primary goal of the police department is fourfold:

-To create and maintain close and ongoing communication with the citizens of this community, to direct resources toward their areas of critical concern;

-To increase accountability to the citizens and their elected representatives by closer integration of the planning and budgeting process with community input;

-To maintain a closely-knit but flexible operational style which can respond to emergencies and unexpected issues;

-To be a proponent of and to implement community oriented policing throughout the department and the community.
