The church of Christ in Cairo was established in February of 1957. The church has a strong and deep spiritual foundation with a desire to teach the word of God to everyone in the community who wants to hear. A love of God and mankind causes the church members to want to “lead wise men to the Savior” – all men, women, and young people who have the insight to want to know the truth of scripture.

The congregation invites everyone to visit and examine the simple New Testament character of the group and its close adherence to the scripture in doctrine and practice. The distinctive plea of the church of Christ is for religious unity based on the Bible. In the divided, fragmented religious world of today, members of the church of Christ believe that the Bible is the only possible common denominator upon which people who love the Lord and want to be part of God’s family can unite. In all things the church relies on the authority of God’s inspired word, and only that, with no other creed.
