The library's goals are to serve as a role model of excellence in customer service and information delivery for all patrons; and to be utilized as the County's Info Source and as a center for cultural arts for Fayette County.

The Fayette County, Georgia Public Library, is an affiliate of the Flint River Regional Library System. Our mission is to assist individuals in meeting their informational, educational, and recreational needs by providing free access (where economically feasible) to ideas and information affording personal and community benefits. The library respects the right of every individual to access all library materials freely.

The Fayette County Public Library:

- Provides free access to information, Internet and word processing.

- Offers outstanding Reference service.

- Contains over 92,000 titles, including Genealogy Collection with Georgia census records,

- Has access to collections of over 250 Georgia libraries in the PINES state network.

- Hosts Distance Learning capabilitie.
