Grayson Parks and Recreation

The City of Grayson installed our new pedestrian lighting along Grayson Parkway from Highway 20 to Bennett Road. The lights are the wonderful fixtures as mandated by our new ordinance. This is part of our streetscape improvement program and is paid for by the 2005 SPLOST funds. These lights will be used all along Georgia Highway 20, when completed.

Construction should begin late this fall. Once completed, there will be additional parking in the Park and for the Arts and History Center. Additions to the sidewalk system will be included along with a large open sodded play area.

For those who walk their dogs in the park, we have installed “Doggie Pot” waste stations for you to use in picking up and disposing of dog waste. Help us maintain a clean park.

We now have a new pavilion in the Park for your use! This pavilion is to be used on a first come-first served basis and will not be available for reservations.

The larger pavilion will continue to be available for reservations at no charge. We require that you make your reservation by our application form. The form may be picked up at City Hal
