Mission
The Greene County Public School System will provide a quality education for all learners.
The Greene County Board of Education is the official governing body for our public school district. The board consists of five elected members. One member serves as the chairperson and is elected by all the citizens of the county to a four year term. The other four members are elected by districts to four year overlapping terms. The Greene County Board of Education is dedicated to develop policy and oversee budget and spending to ensure that all students acquire the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to live a productive, rewarding life as responsible citizens.
