New Hope Church

Our church was founded in 1847 and has a rich history that is being compiled into a book to be sold as a fund-raiser for our building fund. New Hope began as a Methodist Episcopal Church but after 153 years has withdrawn from the Methodist Conference to become a growing independant evangelical Christian Church. Under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth Whitlock, New Hope has become the fastest growing church in the Wooster Community of Meriwether County, more than doubling its membership in a year.
