Shrimp and grits back at Jekyll festival

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. (AP) — Who serves the best shrimp and grits on the Georgia coast? You can find out soon at the Wild Georgia Shrimp Festival. The 5th annual festival dedicated to the Southern staple kicks off Sept. 17 on Jekyll Island. The weekend festival features shrimp-and-grits cookoff contests for both amateurs and professionals. Celebrity chefs will show off their own take on the dish in demonstrations throughout the weekend. Between bites, the festival will offer dolphin tours, live music and a three-stage race to help burn some of those extra calories.
