Kapaa High School
History
Kapa'a High School is located in the town of Kapa'a, on the windward side of the island of Kaua'i. The attendance area consists of a narrow coastal belt extending from the Wailua River to the northern terminus of the highway 33 miles north of Kapa'a. This is an area of tropical rain forest with an annual rainfall ranging from 42 inches in the south to 85 inches in the north. The primary source of income for the area is derived from tourism.
Kapa'a High School serves a population of about 1200 students in grades 9 - 12. The school was established in 1945.
