Des Moines Choral Society

The Des Moines Choral Society is a group of adult singers brought together by a passion for excellence in singing choral music. The Des Moines Choral Society is one of the area's premier musical ensembles. An extremely gifted and accomplished group of adult singers, the choir has been recognized by the Iowa Arts Council for their exceptional concert performances.

The Des Moines Choral Society traditionally performs three to four major concerts of choral music per season, often appearing with the Des Moines Symphony. Because of their efforts, the city of Des Moines boasts one of the most exciting and refreshing choirs in central Iowa.

Through generous private and public support, grants, concert revenue and membership dues, the Des Moines Choral Society maintains a tradition of excellence in performance of old and new classics, pop, jazz, folk songs and spirituals.
