History:
On November 11, 1980, six families met at the local YWCA to establish the Faith Baptist Fellowship. On July 5th of the following year the first Sunday service was held at Mohawk Square in Mason City, IA. On October 11, 1981 Faith Baptist Fellowship was dissolved and was replaced by Faith Baptist Church with thirty-two people signing as charter members of the church. Beginning November 22, 1981, Jerry Johnson was called as our missionary pastor. In January of 1982, the church voted to seek fellowship with the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC) and the Iowa Association of Regular Baptist Churches (IARBC).

In April of 1984, the property and church building at 1807 S. Kentucky were purchased from the Missionary Alliance Church, with a new auditorium and fellowship hall added to the facilities in 1984-1985. In May of 1988, following the church's graduation to self-support, Pastor Johnson resigned to plant a church in Pennsylvania. Miles Grismore began his ministry as the first fully supported pastor on January 15, 1989 with David Callison called as the associate pastor on September 5, 1993. The same day the mortgage was burned from previous construction and we broke ground for a new auditorium and fellowship hall. Darwin Miller, Jr. joined us as our associate pastor on October 14, 2001.
