Who We Are
In its 23rd Season, Iowa Dance Theatre (IDT) is a non-profit organization based in Des Moines, IA. It was established in 1983 to bring performance and education opportunities to Iowa's youth and professional dancers, and has produced many successful professional dancers. IDT is a community-based, volunteer group of people dedicated to dance in Iowa. We are a unique blend of dancers, teachers, choreographers and art enthusiasts who combine our talents to produce high-quality, artistic dance productions.
IDT is committed to bringing the talents of dancers in Iowa to the attention of the general public. Our innovative approach enables us to focus on individuals with multiple and varied talents in a theatrical setting.
