Group Exhibition
We will be exhibiting several different artist's works for our October 9th, Opening Reception. In the main floor gallery, on the 2 dimensional front we are featuring the rich, deep hues of Fred Martin's mixed media paintings, the carved texture in Cynthia Fusillo's works on panel, and to the fluid, musical montage of Emanuel's paintings...just to name a few. We are also continuing the very popular exhibition of Gerard Cambon's whimsical locomobiles and bas-reliefs that debuted over Labor Day weekend. We had so many people at our last opening, that not everyone that came got in the gallery to see the work!
So, if you didn't get a chance to see them then, don't miss this opportunity. They are indeed some of the most creative work I have seen in a long time.
In our upstairs gallery we have the beautiful vibrant landscapes by Yehouda Chaki. Including three powerful new silk screens.
Also to go along with the Trailing of the Sheep festivities taking place this weekend (www.trailingofthesheep.org), Mike Diem, former owner of East Avenue Bistro and new executive chef of The Valley Club, will have some delicious Morrocan Lamb Stew over Couscous for the tasting.
Works are also viewable online at www.gallerydenovo.com.
Opening Reception Date and Time: October 9, 2009 from 5 to 8 PM
Join us in Toronto October 22 - 26th!
Gallery DeNovo is excited to announce our acceptance into Toronto International Art Fair (TIAF), a world class art event this coming October 22nd - 26th. The year 2009 marks the 10th edition of this much anticipated event.
The Toronto International Art Fair (TIAF) is Canada's fair for modern and contemporary art. Staged at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, this highly anticipated annual event showcases renowned Canadian and international modern and contemporary fine art from modern masters to the vanguard and ranging from museum caliber to the more affordable.
Last year's Art Toronto 2008 featured more than 100 galleries from 14 countries including 22 first time participants selected by a committee of established art professionals. The event attracted 18,000 visitors in just five days and facilitated over $15 million dollars in sales securing its position as the country's most discriminating and relevant art event.
TIAF is attended by a loyal, educated and interested audience on a local and national scale. Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal and Ottawa have sophisticated and celebrated cultural institutions, art collectors and patrons - all of whom attend TIAF. The extensive exhibition of Canadian and international art works, combined with distinguished cultural programming makes TIAF a visual feast for art aficionados and amateur art lovers alike.
