It is a very pretty place. It was about 125 miles from where we lived, but well worth the trip. We used to stay at the Montpelier KOA. The owners were really great people. Wish we could go again. Really liked the fishing. Haven't had so much fun since.

The "Pacific Northwest Portland Rose Heritage Tour" will begin on May 3 when No. 844 leaves Cheyenne, Wyo., and travels to Rock Springs, Wyo. The locomotive will make overnight stops and be on display in: Rock Springs, Wyo. Pocatello, Boise, Nampa and Montpelier, Idaho La Grande, Hinkle, The Dalles, Portland, Ore. Tacoma, Wash.
