71st Annual Payette County Fair

Tuesday Aug 8,2017:
7:00 a.m.-3:00 pm – Vet checks and Weigh-ins at the designated times and areas.

Swine-7am to 9am, Beef – 9am-11 am, Sheep/Goats 11 am – 1 pm, Dairy – 9 am – 11 am, Horses- 1 pm – 3pm, Small Animals and Cloverbuds– 1 pm – 3 pm

Noon-5:00 pm - 4-H misc projects check-in – 4-H Building

Exhibitors with only breeding animals (sheep, goats and beef) will bring animals at the same times set for the market species. They must have health papers and be vet checked before being unloaded

5:30 p.m. Mandatory meeting for all parents and 4-H/FFA exhibitors with livestock and/or horse (1)  projects.

6:00-9:00 pm Check-in Open Division Exhibits. (Check out time is 11am to 2pm Sun. Aug. 13th.)

7:45 a.m. Mandatory Horse Meeting

8:00 a.m.-11:00 am Check-in Open Division Exhibits (4-H bldg closed for judging until 5 pm) 
                            Check out time is Sun. Aug. 13th from 11am to 2pm.

8:00 a.m. FFA and 4-H feeder lambs (<110 lbs.) - (2)
              4-H Market Sheep Judging, followed by pen of 2, followed by FFA Market Sheep Judging - (2)  followed by Champion Market sheep, followed by pen of 2.
              FFA and 4-H Breeding Beef Quality - (1)
              FFA and 4-H Feeder Steers Quality - (1)

8:00 a.m. FFA Market Beef Judging followed by 4-H Market Beef Judging - (1)
              Champion Market Beef - (1)

9:00 a.m. 4-H Horse Showmanship followed by Equitation and bareback - (3)

11:30 a.m. All beef exhibitors talk with judge

12:30 p.m. FFA Beef Fitting and Showing - (1)

1:00 p.m. Judge Talk to FFA and 4-H Sheep Exhibitor - (2)

1:30 p.m. 4-H Beef Fitting and Showing

6:00 p.m. Cloverbud dog show - (1)

6:45 p.m. Cloverbud stick horse reining - (3)           

7:00 p.m. 4-H Horse Costume Reining - (3)            

7:30 p.m. Special Music Program “Gospel Night” - (2)          

Thursday Aug 10,2017:
7:30-8:00 am Goat milk out

8:00 a.m. FFA Breeding Swine followed by 4-H Breeding Swine - (1)
              FFA Feeder Pigs followed by 4-H Feeder Pigs - (1)
              FFA Market Swine followed by 4-H Market Swine - (1)

8:30 a.m. Cloverbud Rabbit and Guinea pig show followed by 4-H/FFA Rabbit and Guinea Pig Fitting and showing followed by quality.

8:45 a.m. Horse meeting                

8:30 a.m. 4-H Sheep Fitting and Showing followed by all 4-H/FFA Breeding Sheep - (2) 

9:00 a.m. 4-H Horse Reining - (3)

11:30 a.m. Cloverbuds, goats- followed by and continued with show orders posted on goat barn - (2)  

12:30 pm  4-H Horsemanship - (3)

1:00 p.m. Judge Talk to FFA and 4-H Swine Exhibitors - (1)

2:00 p.m. FFA Swine Fitting and Showing - (1)

2:00 p.m. Cloverbud Poultry followed by 4-H and FFA Poultry/Pigeon/Dove Fitting and Showing followed by Poultry Quality at Pens (starting with Market Broilers).
