The Aurora Firecracker Craft Show & Festival was conceived by five
Aurora residents in 1991. The festival was designed with the idea of a
family atmosphere of fun and activities close to home. Over the years
the festival has seen Live Entertainment, Crafters, Concessions,
Lighted Boat Parade, Fishing Derby, Boat Rides on the Ohio, Duck
Regatta, Baby Contest, Prince & Princess Contest, Kids’ Area and
much much more.
The festival is held annually on the Friday and
Saturday closest to the Fourth of July with the 2009 festival being
held Friday July 3rd beginning at 5:00PM and Saturday July 4th
beginning at 10:00AM. Enjoy an old fashioned Fourth of July with
friendly small town people, while avoiding the holiday traffic.
