Momentum continues with major endorsement from strong conservative leader

Chicago –
Republican gubernatorial candidate Andy McKenna and Lt. Governor candidate State Senator Matt Murphy today announced the endorsement of Northfield Township Republican Chairwoman June O’Donoghue.

“It’s time Illinois had a businessman from the private sector like Andy McKenna in charge,” said O’Donoghue. “Andy McKenna and Matt Murphy are the perfect pair of outsiders who can restore fiscal integrity and trust to the Governor’s Office,”

O’Donoghue’s endorsement of the ticket is personal and and follows the recent endorsements of House Republican Leader Tom Cross and Lake County Chairman Dan Venturi.

“Matt and I happily accept June’s endorsement,” said McKenna. “We are pleased she is joining our efforts to put Illinois’ house back in order.”

O’Donoghue has been an active Republican leader in Glenview, Northfield, and Northbrook for more than 25 years and has served as Northfield Township Republican Chairwoman since 2006.
