Every year, since the chapter was founded, the Palatine Jaycees puts on one of the largest 4th of July celebrations in the area. The 52nd Annual 4th of July Hometown Fest 2009 will be held at Community Park in Palatine at the intersection of Palatine Rd and Northwest Highway (Rte 14).

This years festival will include: Special Needs Carnival, Family Day, Parade, Dignitaries REception, Carnival Attractions, Arts & Crafts Fair, a business expo, a variety of food and beverages, daily entertainment, and an outstanding Fireworks display. This event is not only a Palatine Jaycee tradition, but it is also one of our signature projects; one which this chapter and region look forward to holding every year for the community and surrounding areas. The festival always benefits from the help of other Jaycee chapters in the North Region. The chapter works closely with the Palatine Park District, the Village of Palatine, Palatine Police and Fire Departments and Consolidated School District #15 each year to successfully put on this event.
