Wilmette Resident First To Receive New Trier Township Supervisor’s Award
category:Government and Politics posted:May 23rd, 2008Diane G. Fisher, Ph.D. of Wilmette has been awarded the New Trier Township Supervisor’s Award. A Township Trustee since 2005, Dr. Fisher was selected as the first time recipient of this award based on her leadership in developing a strategic plan that will guide the Township and its service to residents over the next five years.
“Dr. Fisher’s positive attitude, integrity, sensitivity, and empowering leadership style, helped to foster collaboration, communication and cooperation during the strategic planning process, “noted Patricia B. Cantor, Supervisor. “It is a distinct privilege to honor her with this award.”
The Supervisor’s Award was created in 2008 to recognize an individual or an organization who demonstrate exceptional leadership ability; and who contribute to and demonstrate a commitment to the Township’s core purpose and values
New Trier Township’s mission is to provide leadership, advocacy and resources to benefit the physical, mental and social well being of Township residents. With a population of over 56,000, the Township includes the villages of Wilmette, Kenilworth, Winnetka, and Glencoe, plus portions of Glenview and Northfield. There is also a small-unincorporated area in Winnetka.
