It features the late Dave Young (guitar) and Jim Cardenas (drums) both passed away recently. Two great guy's I'll miss. This video clip is dedicated to them. Also on bass is Rick Howell. In the early 90's I was playing the local scene on weekends in Bloomington. I met a friend of John Mellencamp and we became friends. This concert featured Duke Tomato, Larry Crane, Bill Wilson and John Kay & Steppenwolf. I was asked to play the show with a chance of an audition for Johns band, his keyboard player had passed away earlier that year. That break didn't happen, but we shared a dressing room with Duke and his band hanging out and hitting every club in Bloomington that night with Steppenwolf after the show. This was the first song of the set in front of about 2300 people, my knees were shaking and when we felt the love from the crowd" the second song Check It Out went into automatic.
