Atwood Baptist Church

Atwood Baptist Church was established from a mission work on August 4, 1996. It was started by Pastor David L. Jones in June of 1996 from a tent crusade held at Lake Atwood. 7 souls came to know the Lord and a work was begun. After a few years, a new building was needed and so construction began on a new facility in Octber of 1998. Easter Sunday 1999, the first service was held in the new facility. Many souls have been won for the Lord Jesus Christ here and it is our prayer that many more will come to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus. The mission of Atwood Baptist Church is to win souls to Christ while glorifying God in our everyday life, to start new churches in the Mid-West USA, and to train men and women to serve God here and abroad through the High Plains Bible Institute.
