About Us:

We believe the Bible is the Inspired, Inerrant and always Relevant Word Of The Living God. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life on this earth, died a sacrificial death on the Cross, rose triumphantly from the grave, ascended gloriously into Heaven, and shall come again visibly, bodily, royally, and victoriously. We believe that all outside of Christ are dead in sin and that salvation is only in God's Son, Jesus Christ. We believe that God still saves and changes lives. We believe that real, genuine Spiritual Awakening, will come when God's people meet God's requirements of prayer, confession of sin, and holy living. We believe that Baptism by Immersion is an outward sign of the inward change. We believe in the local church, God's called out ones, dedicated to the Great Commission and Discipleship.

A church means many different things to people. Some folks see it as a building. Others see it only as an organization. To some it is only a series of special programs. In simplest terms First Baptist Church is people. We are real people with a special relationship. That relationship is not to a building, an organization or a program. It is to a person, and that person is Jesus Christ. People are important to us, because people are important to Him. The secret to the great things that are happening in First Baptist Church is the presence of Jesus in the hearts of our people.
