"The Farmers' Market in Historic Downtown Independence is the result of a continuing need for a central market in Independence. Opening Saturday May 9, 2009 and active until October 17, 2009. Currently we are looking for vendors of quality, locally made products including: garden produce, grains, meats, eggs, soaps, jams/jellies, baked goods, artisan crafts and more. If you are interested in a information packet, please reply to listed e-mail address. The market board is diligently planning special events to host throughout the market season. Perhaps you'll find live music, or public performances in progress when you visit our beautiful Downtown Market. Later in the season look for cooking demonstrations and artisan profiles.

May-October, Corner of Penn Ave and Myrtle Saturdays May-Oct 8:00 am to 11:00 am.
