Life Line Screening will perform a variety of different health screenings at the Chestnut Street United Methodist Church on Monday, July 6th. The screenings available on this day will include:
1) A Stroke/Carotid Artery Screening – 60 people every hour suffer from stroke – 1/3 of them are fatal. An Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) test 3) An Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) – Peripheral Arterial Disease is a strong predictor for heart disease. – This is the #1 cause of Diabetic amputation. A Bone Density screening, which tests both men and women for the early detection of osteoporosis. 5) An Atrial Fibrillation test - Having Afib increases your risk of stroke 5-times and can lead to congestive heart failure. Single finger-stick blood tests for Heart Disease and Diabetes These screenings are completely painless, non-invasive, and typically not part of a routine physical.
