The Cape Cod Maritime Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Our goal is to develop Cape Cod's first dedicated maritime museum so that we may preserve the rich maritime tradition and history for which Cape Cod and the islands is famous.

The Hyannis waterfront is an ideal location for the Cape Cod Maritime Museum. Aside from the beauty of the South Street site and its commanding view of the harbor, it is in the heart of Hyannis, within walking distance of Main Street and island ferries, and near beaches, attractions and lodging. Hyannis is Cape Cod’s commercial, cultural and geographic center. The Museum will bring a year-round cultural and educational asset to the village’s waterfront and to Cape Cod.

The Town of Barnstable owned building at 135 South Street in Hyannis may be renovated but will more likely be razed and replaced with a state-of-the-art museum built in a traditional Cape Cod architectural style true to the historic character of the Hyannis waterfront area.
