The Compact Honors Roslyn Garfield

From: Provincetown Community Compact
The Provincetown Community Compact (The Compact) will honor Attorney Roslyn Garfield for her longtime service to the community at the Lobster Pot Restaurant, 321 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA. The event is free and open to the public; hors d'oeuvres will be served, with a cash bar.

Attorney Roslyn Garfield has served the community as Town Moderator, represented the town on the Cape Cod Commission, served on numerous non-profit boards, and helped many individuals in need. We pay tribute to her generosity of spirit and to the incredible contributions she has made to our community.

The Compact was established in 1993 by Jay Critchley as a community-building and philanthropic organization to support living artists and the vitality of the arts community.

The mission of The Compact is to advance the cultural well being of Provincetown, its people, and the natural environment of the LowerCape. The Compact also acts as an incubator (think-ubator) for social, environmental and artistic projects. Compact projects strengthen the interdependence of people and place in order to nurture the creative process and promote sustainability.

Representatives of several Compact think-ubator projects will be speaking at the event including the Provincetown International Film Festival, the Tennessee Williams Theater Festival and The Haiti Project.  Deborah Medders, president elect of the Massachusetts Moderators Association, will be in attendance to speak about their appreciation of Roslyn and her efforts.
