Independence Day Fireworks

Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone reminds all Somerville residents that the City’s annual Independence Day Fireworks celebration will take place this Thursday, July 2nd at Trum Field.

The celebration begins at 6pm, and features entertainment by the Somerville Sunsetters, the USO Metropolitan New York Performers and, because the period between June 30th and July 7th coincides with Navy Week, the final performance will be by the U.S. Navy Band Northeast's "Wind Ensemble." Also in attendance at the fireworks will be Vice Admiral Kevin McCoy, and Medal of Honor Recipients Captain Thomas Kelley and Captain Thomas Hudner.

The city will also be celebrating its recent designation as an ‘All-America City” by the National Civic League.

There is a rain date of Thursday, July 9th for the celebration.
