Our Mission

The MHA exists to support member organizations in their continuing efforts to improve the quality of patient care, the health status of their communities, and the stewardship of health care resources, through leadership, education, information, communication, and collective action in the public interest.

MHA exists to support its members as providers of dignified and compassionate care.

MHA supports a health care delivery system that is patient and community focused.

MHA is dedicated to the principle of affordable health care and the effective stewardship of limited health care resources.

MHA is dedicated to the governance of the association by trustees.

MHA strives for continuous quality improvement by the association and its members.

MHA strives to be a leader in addressing health care issues which support members in their efforts to carry out their service missions.

MHA believes in strong member participation, and fair and equitable treatment of member organizations.

MHA believes in collaboration among hospitals and other parts of the health care system, as well as shared accountability among all participants for improving the communitys health status.
