Our Mission:

The family of Good Samaritan Lutheran Church welcomes all to gather and grow, give of themselves and go into the world to serve as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Our Vission:

Every member is a disciple. We are disciples building disciples.

We Belive:
In the Triune God, the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit.

God the father is the creator and sustainer of all.

We are sinners by what we do and by what we fail to do. God forgives sin through Jesus’ death on the cross and Jesus’ resurrection.

The Holy Spirit guides the lives of individuals and the life of the Church through prayer, the study of the Bible and the celebration of baptism and communion. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace alone.

We respond to God’s grace by sharing the message of Jesus Christ and by serving God, the Church, the community and the world.

We Value:
Seeking God, Relationship with god and with each other, Spiritual growth, and Serving.

Good Samaritan is a congregation of the Metropolitan Washington, DC Synod of the Evangelical Church in America. We charted as a congregation in 1998. Good Samaritan Lutheran Church began in January when a group of families gathered to share their vision and spread the good news of Jesus Christ following the traditions of the ELCA. They worshipped on Sunday evenings on Solomons Island. Worship was led by a variety of visiting pastors who offered their time to this fledgling congregation.
