Celebrate National Lighthouse Day at the Calvert Marine Museum. Special activities include crafts, a musical performance, and featured lighthouse items in the Store honoring the Cove Point and Drum Point Lighthouses.
Hangman’s Fare will perform at 2:00 p.m. under the Lighthouse. Lighthouse crafts under the tent on the boardwalk will be on-going. New lighthouse items are arriving daily in the museum store to include Lighthouses of the Chesapeake shirts, lighthouse socks, books, Christmas ornaments, wallets, key chains, and other fine leather accessories.
Access to the Drum Point Lighthouse and Cove Point Lighthouse is free from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Paid admission is required to access the Exhibition Building.
Join the Calvert Marine Museum in celebrating 40 years of excellence in 2010. The museum is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is $7.00 for adults, $6.00 for seniors and military with valid I.D., and $2.00 for children ages 5 – 12; children under 5 are free.
