Mission

Beginning in the early morning hours and flying almost 2,000 miles from Detroit, Michigan, the mission team landed as dusk fell at the newly-opened Santiago airport in the Dominican Republic. Hauling suitcases filled with supplies for the mission base, the team breezed through customs and was ready to begin their week of adventure.

Sharing the Good News

The vision of Athens Christian Center begins with the call to share the Good News of Jesus Christ (through word and deed) with all people, but specifially with our "neighbors" living in the counties of Calhoun, St. Joe, Branch, and Kalamazoo. From this area, we hope to welcome hundreds of members into the fellowship of our church family.

Creating a Safe Haven Where Needs Are Met

It is our vision to raise up a church where the hurting are healed, the depressed are restored to joy, the frustrated are encouraged, the confused find sense, the sick are healed, and the hopeless find faith. We hope to establish a haven of safety where anyone can find love, acceptance, forgiveness, and friendship.
