The Detroit Historical Society realizes that times are tough for metro Detroiters right now. In light of all the negative news we’ve faced all year, the Society is offering a special thank you to the community that has supported us for more than 80 years: free admission at the Detroit Historical Museumand extended hours of operation starting Friday, December 26th and continuing all the way through Sunday, January 4th (except New Years Day). After being closed Wednesday and Thursday for the Christmas holidays, the Museum in the Cultural Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day during this special promotion and will also offer special giveaways, store discounts and other surprises.
