The Detroit Historical Society realizes that times are tough for metro Detroiters right now.  In light of all the negative news we’ve faced all year, the Society is offering a special thank you to the community that has supported us for more than 80 years:  free admission at the Detroit Historical Museumand extended hours of operation starting Friday, December 26^th and continuing all the way through Sunday, January 4^th (except New Years Day).

After being closed Wednesday and Thursday for the Christmas holidays, the Museum in the Cultural Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day during this special promotion and will also offer special giveaways, store discounts and other surprises.
