A Second Chance at Life...the T-rex Project.mp4running time:04:30 added by:thecritterfields source: YouTubeThis video is a promotional tool and proof of concept to erect a full size hand made T-rex skeleton to be displayed at ArtPrize 2012 in Grand Rapids, Michigan from September 19 - October 7. Much funding is still required to finish out the project and fundraising platform, Kickstarter, will provide the means necessary to bring this dinosaur back to life. Please visit our link at: www.kickstarter.com and check us out. There are really kool rewards for individuals who become backers of this project. The skeleton is sculpted from paper mache clay which is applied to an underlying armature and detailed for the final effect. Travis will paint an elaborate tattoo-like storybook mural over the entire surface of sculpture when it is completed to tell the story of inspiration this project follows. The focal point of this project is to bring awareness to the survivors of life's hardships and hopefully inspire those survivors to find their own second chance at life by overcoming the obstacles in their life. The T-rex represents the power to overcome those obstacles. We hope that everyone visiting ArtPrize will take a moment to reflect on their own life as they visit this exhibit and absorb the positive energy that this sculpture will exude. In short, this is a story of overcoming the hardships of life, gaining the support and clarity to move through them, and the momentum to carry one's self into a brighter future. We are trying to expand support through as many venues as possible ...
