West Bloomfield Schools Community Education

Community Education is a philosophy which recognizes that education is more than normal schooling. Its mission is to expand the role of public schools beyond the normal school day to include year-round activities of educational benefit for community members of all ages. Since a community is only as strong as its individual members, our concern is in developing the whole individual - physically, intellectually, emotionally - and all addressing whatever needs present themselves throughout the human life span. We are constantly seeking new ideas and suggestions from the West Bloomfield community at large, and will make every attempt to meet whatever needs are proposed to us.

We offer the department is comprised of three major components - Early Childhood, Enrichment and Recreation, and Adult Education. You can also take advantage of our physical facilities for your own purposes.

Education has become a life-long endeavor. The West Bloomfield School District's Community Education Department offers opportunities in continuing education, recreation, self-improvement, and leisure activities. Each year, our offerings increase and become more varied and more interesting. I invite you to take advantage of the many opportunities available to the citizens in this community.
