Lincoln Park Middle School is a North Central Accredited (NCA) school. It follows a team concept and the approximately 720 students enrolled at LPMS are divided into 6 "clusters" that form a school within a school. Each cluster consists of 2 language arts teachers, a science teacher, a social studies teacher and a math teacher. Four of the six clusters also include a special education teacher. Students travel between classrooms within their own cluster leaving to attend an exploratory class.

The mission of the Lincoln Park Middle School community is to provide excellence in learning and skill development in a safe and supportive environment while providing opportunities for lifelong learning.
