Mission Statement:
Making Dreams Come True has been the theme of the Vision to Action process since it began. Four priority goals are driving our planning and decision-making for the next three to five years. These are the dreams we plan to make come true.

History:
Gethsemane Lutheran Church was founded in 1890 in the town of Hopkins, located just west of Minneapolis. Our congregation was originally comprised of farmers, factory hands and small business owners sharing fellowship in a small-town, "traditional" family setting.

Today, we serve an established, second-ring suburb of Twin Cities metropolitan area. As Hopkins has grown to become more ethnically and economically diverse, Gethsemane has grown with the community and has adapted its ministry through the years to meet changing needs.
