The Lakeville Teen Corporation in conjunction with the Downtown Lakeville
Business Association and the Lakeville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting
the Music Melee Battle of the Bands. The event is open to bands that are
currently in high school or have members that just recently graduated. Prizes
will be awarded and the top band will have the opportunity to compete in the
Dakota County Fair Grand Melee August 6.Band or not, the Lakeville Teen Corporation invites you to come out and
enjoy the music!

Chess Tournament:
Four sections, 3 scholastic sections, and 1 open section:
K-3 Trophies to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
K-6 Trophies to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
K-12 Trophies to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
Open (for any age) cash prizes to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
For scholastic sections, register for the grade that you will be in the
fall of 2008.
Open section will have cash prizes (prizes based on 12 players in the
section, or else prizes will be proportional) : 1st place $100, 2nd place $50,
3rd place $25
Cost: Scholastic sections: $8 for advanced registration, $10 at the door
Open section: $15 for advanced registration, $20 at the door

5:30 pm - 11:00 pm:Lions Club Beer Brats and Bingo
Lakeville residents view Beer, Brats and Bingo as more of a reunion than a
fundraiser for the Lions. Every year, it is an opportunity to see friends who
have moved away from the city, or just an evening that everyone knows to make
time for in their busy schedules.
Ticket are required for tickets for beer, brats, pop and chips. Patrons
can return to the ticket booth at anytime during the evening to purchase more
food and drink tickets.
Each and every year, the Lions Club raises thousands of dollars that are
given back to the community.
