One in four Minnesota women have experienced domestic violence in their lifetime.  While approximately 57,000 women and 18,000 men in Minnesota experience domestic violence in a year's time, fewer than one in three instances are reported to police.

Do you suspect abuse:
- Are your needs and wants respected?
- Are you belittled or put down?
- Are you feeling isolated and kept from family and friends?
- How does your partner talk about other women?

Children who experience violence in their home are more at risk of academic failure, school drop-out, delinquency, substance abuse, and difficulties in their own relationships.
