The 2008 summer tour follows on the heels of a remarkable few years in which Tom and the Heartbreakers have gone from strength to strength.  The band’s sold-out thirtieth anniversary tour was the biggest of their career.  After the film premiered at the 2007 New York Film Festival, audiences worldwide saw the Heartbreakers’ story of triumph both in theaters and at home.  With the massive Super Bowl Halftime Show taking the momentum one notch higher, the summer tour promises to be a further affirmation that Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are indeed one of the best live bands in the business.
