Appleton City is a small rural community nestled quietly on the rolling plains spotted with Ozark woodlands. This friendly community is located in St. Clair County Missouri on Highway 52 and is conveniently centered between Kansas City and Springfield.

The community is composed of a mixture of farmers and livestock producers; retired citizens; business, medical and service personnel; and young adults raising their families in this rural atmosphere.

The main industry is agriculture. The land is fertile for crop farming and raising livestock. Various different crops and different types of livestock thrive in this area.
