From Our Hearts Is the Recipient of Many Cards From Across the Country

From Our Hearts, a not for profit organization that sends boxes of handcrafted cards to our servicemen and women serving our country in Iraq and Afghanistan, is the fortunate recipeint of hundreds of cards made by stampers on World Cardmaking Day, October 3, 2009.  Ladies gathered together across the nation to create thousands of cards with the sole purpose of donating them to From Our Hearts.

Two individuals have reported their outcome already:  one group created over 1,000 cards and the other 400 cards.  This is just two of many, many events that occurred nationwide.

"I am thrilled that individuals have chosen to hold events and to donate their cards to our organziation" states Martie Shea, President and founder of From Our Hearts.  "We send boxes of cards monthly and the feedback we receive from the chaplains, commanders and even the servicemen and women is heartwarming.  They love our cards."

From Our Hearts sends boxes to chaplains who distributes the cards.  To date, over 16,000 cards have been sent in just 20 months.  The number keeps growing as more chaplains are requesting boxes.  It costs $11.95 to ship over one box of 250 cards.    Shea estimates over 40 boxes will be mailed for the holiday season.  Donations for shipping these boxes are appreciated.  For more information please visit our website at http://www.fromourhearts.info
